Do not plan on streaming GTA 6 from the cloud at launch. Xbox has said GTA 6 will not stream to PC at launch Official, no PlayStation cloud deal has been announced, and GeForce Now needs a PC version that does not exist yet.
If you own a PS5 or Xbox and the game, Remote Play can stream your own console to a phone, tablet or PC at home.
Cloud gaming could, in theory, let people without a PS5 or Xbox play GTA 6 on a phone or laptop. In practice, the picture at launch is mostly no. Here is where each service stands.

What Xbox said
In October 2026, The Verge reported that Xbox had secured exclusive streaming rights for GTA 6. Xbox executive Matthew Ball then said the game "will not be streaming exclusively or to PC". Some outlets still repeat the original exclusivity story, so the Xbox statement is the latest word. Microsoft also introduced monthly streaming-hour caps for Game Pass from November 2026. Remote Play: the option that works
Remote Play is not cloud gaming. It streams the game from your own console over your home network or internet to another device. If you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S and GTA 6, you can use the PS Remote Play app or the Xbox app to play on a phone, tablet, PC or the PlayStation Portal. It needs a strong, stable connection, ideally with the console wired to the router, and the game still runs on your console.
What you need for good streaming
- A connection of at least 15 to 20 Mbps, more for higher quality.
- Low latency, ideally with the console on Ethernet.
- A controller connected to the device you are streaming to.
