Best Laptop for GTA 6: What to Buy From Budget to High End

GTA 6 has no PC version yet, so no laptop can run it today. If you are buying one with a future port in mind, these are the specs that matter at each budget.

Quick answer

No laptop can run GTA 6 yet, because there is no PC version. Not announced Unknown If you are buying now with a future port in mind, aim for an RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 Laptop GPU or better with 8 GB of VRAM, 16 GB of dual-channel RAM, a 6 to 8 core recent CPU and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Estimate

Avoid laptops with 4 GB graphics chips if GTA 6 is a priority.

Laptops are the main gaming machine for many players, especially in India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Brazil. But laptop specs are easy to misread: the same graphics chip name can perform very differently depending on how much power the laptop allows it. This guide explains what to look for at each budget, based on our labelled GTA 6 laptop requirements estimate. We do not test laptops ourselves, so always check independent reviews of the exact model.

What to check before buying

  • GPU power limit (TGP). An RTX 4060 Laptop running at 115 W or more is far faster than one capped at 60 W. Look for the TGP on the spec sheet or in reviews.
  • VRAM. 8 GB is our comfortable minimum for GTA 6. 4 GB chips like the RTX 3050 Laptop 4 GB and RTX 2050 are likely to struggle. See GTA 6 VRAM requirements.
  • Dual-channel RAM. Two sticks, not one. A single 8 GB or 16 GB stick costs real performance.
  • Upgradable RAM and a spare M.2 slot. Lets you go to 32 GB or add storage later.
  • Cooling. Thicker gaming chassis keep performance up for long sessions. Thin laptops often throttle.
  • Screen. A 144 Hz or faster 1080p or 1440p panel suits gaming laptops of this class.

Example laptop families in each class

These are well-known gaming laptop ranges that are commonly sold with the GPUs above, not specific models we have tested. Configurations vary widely, so check the exact GPU, TGP and RAM:

  • Value gaming ranges: Lenovo LOQ, ASUS TUF Gaming, Acer Nitro, HP Victus, MSI Cyborg and Katana.
  • Mid to high ranges: Lenovo Legion, ASUS ROG Strix, Acer Predator Helios, HP Omen, MSI Vector and Crosshair.

Owners of specific models can see our planned guides for popular models such as the ASUS TUF A15 and Acer Nitro when official specs arrive.

Should you buy a laptop for GTA 6 now?

Only if you need a laptop for other games or work too. GTA 6 has no PC release date, laptop models change every year, and official specs could land higher or lower than any estimate. If your main goal is to play GTA 6 soon, a console is cheaper and plays it on 19 November 2026. Compare in console now or wait for PC.
