GTA 6 has no PC version or official specs yet. Not announced Unknown Based on our estimate, a budget build pairs an 8 to 16 GB card like the RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT with a 6-core CPU, 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. A mid build steps up to an RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT, an 8-core CPU and 32 GB RAM. Estimate
These builds are planning templates, not tested systems. They use part classes rather than exact models so they stay useful as prices and products change. When Rockstar publishes official requirements, we will update them to match. For how a PC compares with the console GTA 6 was built for, see what PC equals a PS5.
Three example builds
| Part | Budget (console-like, 1080p) | Mid (high, 1440p) | High (4K) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT (16 GB preferred) | RTX 5070 or RX 9070 XT | RTX 5080 class |
| Processor | 6-core: Ryzen 5 7600 or Core i5-14400F class | 8-core: Ryzen 7 7700 or 9700X class | 8-core with large cache: Ryzen 7 9800X3D class |
| Memory | 16 GB DDR5 (2 x 8 GB) | 32 GB DDR5 (2 x 16 GB) | 32 GB DDR5 |
| Storage | 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe | 2 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe | 2 TB Gen4 or Gen5 NVMe |
| Power supply | 550 to 650 W, quality brand | 750 W | 850 W or more |
| OS | Windows 11 | Windows 11 | Windows 11 |
All tiers are estimates Estimate, built on the console hardware and Rockstar's official GTA V Enhanced specs, which already require an SSD and recommend 16 GB RAM, an 8 GB card and Windows 11 Official.
Why these choices
- Processor: GTA games simulate busy cities, and GTA 6 runs at 30 FPS on consoles, which hints at a heavy CPU load. Eight modern cores, ideally with a large cache, help push past console frame rates.
- Memory: 16 GB is our realistic minimum, 32 GB comfortable. Always use two sticks for dual-channel.
- Storage: GTA 6 is estimated at about 200 GB on console, and PC versions often grow. NVMe is the safe choice for fast streaming.
- Graphics: VRAM matters for an open world. 12 to 16 GB gives the most headroom. See the best graphics card for GTA 6.
Build now or wait?
Wait for official specs if GTA 6 is your main reason. A build matching the budget column already costs more than a PS5, and the PC version has no date. If you need a PC now for other games, the mid build is a balanced choice that should hold up well. Compare the console route in console now or wait for PC.
Country-specific builds
We plan rupee-priced budget builds for India and Pakistan once official specs arrive, since local part prices and availability differ a lot. In the meantime, check your existing PC with Can I run GTA 6?
FAQ

Is a prebuilt PC fine for GTA 6?
Yes, if the parts match the tier you want. Check the exact GPU, RAM (two sticks) and SSD type.
Should I build a PC for GTA 6 now?
Only if you need it for other games. Otherwise wait for official requirements.
