GamesBeat reported on 13 October 2026 that Rockstar plans to release GTA 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027, citing four unnamed industry sources. Reported Rockstar has not confirmed it. GTA 6 still launches on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Official
The report is the first credible sign of when PC players might get Grand Theft Auto VI. Insider Gaming, Dexerto and PCWorld picked up the story, but none of them added an independent confirmation, and Rockstar did not respond to requests for comment. Take-Two has not mentioned a PC version in its earnings calls either.

Why the timing would be unusual
Rockstar's last three big games reached PC 7 to 19 months after consoles: GTA IV took about 7 months, GTA V about 19 and Red Dead Redemption 2 about 12. A Q1 2027 release would mean a wait of only two to four months. That is possible, but it would break the studio's pattern, so we are treating it as a report until Rockstar announces a date.
What PC players should do now
Do not buy expensive hardware for GTA 6 yet. When Rockstar announces the PC version, the official requirements usually appear the same day, and our GTA 6 PC requirements page will switch from estimates to the real numbers. Until then, compare your graphics card with Can I run GTA 6?. Moving to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD are the two upgrades that are safe either way.
